The Black Cauldron is an animated feature film produced by Walt Disney Productions. It was released on July 24,1985 and is based on The Chronicles of Prydain book series by Lloyd Alexander. Directed by Ted Berman and Richard Rich, this film was notable for being Disney’s first animated film to feature computer-generated imagery, as well as the first Disney animated film to receive a PG rating.
