The Rescuers is an animated feature film produced by Walt Disney Productions. It was released on June 22,1977 and is based on a series of children’s books by Margery Sharp, particularly “The Rescuers” and “Miss Bianca”. Directed by Wolfgang Reitherman, John Lounsbery, and Art Stevens, this film was notable for being one of Disney’s first major successes of the post-Walt era helping to revitalize the studio’s animation department.
